This place saved my life and it can save you or your loved ones life too. They have amazing staff who really do care and go above and beyond for those who put in the work. The owner Dr Schlutter is an amazing women with endless knowledge and does a lot for the recovery community. The director Rob is a wise man who sees straight through people's BS and tells it as it is. They have great mental health team that provides 1:1 theorpy to those who need/ want one. They also have Dr Morgan who specializes in addition medicine. If you need help... This is the place to go!.!

It was different than other places like this that I have been. Profanity and rage were not discouraged. I think it made it easier for some people to get better. Howard was a very good counselor.

A safe and supportive environment with professionals who are 100% invested in helping every client recover from the madness of addiction. Only 16 clients at a time which allows for plenty of time for personal and individual attention. Several mental health professionals are on staff as well as chemical dependency specialists who have lived with an addiction and who have long term recovery. If you are entirely ready to get sober, address the issues and root causes of why you abuse substances, and willing to do whatever it takes to recover and live a sober life, PCC is an effective, rewarding and enriching solution.

I am a great guy, that wears my heart on my sleeve. I will do anything for you if you do not disrespect me, or the people close to me. I consider Professional Counseling Center close to my heart! This would not have been possible for me to say 100+ days ago before entering Intensive outpatient at the PCC Delano Location. To feel, and can say this about myself now is freeing and I owe that ALL to, PCC staff and my hard work in treatment! I enjoy the outdoors, family, cooking, sailing, fishing, hunting and many other activity's again, that I once did long ago-but I was to inebriate to realize that through my actions and the substances. These activities "slowly" became less important than feeling free from all my problems, but only momentarily mind you - intoxicated to others and just a not a nice person overall to my family and society to be around through the behaviors that I chose to display. PCC is a duel diagnosis treatment facility. That means (If you’re not sure like I was) they challenge you, to see if there are any underlying symptoms with your mental health. I was totally ambivalent to this because I had been masking what I know today as my anxiety and depression with drugs and alcohol for as far back as 14 years old. I am 41 now. The math is not in my favor of living the best life. Granted, it had its good times loooong ago, I will not lie. This is now my 2nd time in treatment, different facility (PCC) - but I have been trying to get sober for 5-6 years now with countless relapses, more than I can count on 2 hands. I am not proud of this, it was just that hard to figure out! Entering PCC Delano, I decide-and ingrained in my mind, that I was not going to worry about time, like I did at my prior treatment, and failed, because I was more worried about getting a job and my relationship more than I was focusing on the present treatment. (confused) I can tell you from personal experience, this is not an easy frame of mind! You must want it bad enough and fight for your life back! This place is not a vacation! You come to work. My guess is, this is where the bad reviews generate from, (All the guys I am with are grateful for this program. Unfortunately, people rarely take the time to write about the good things, but it's easy to complain. That backwards to me) on all the different sites, Professional Counseling Center can be found on. As addicts and alcoholics, we do not like to be told what to do! It's not in our nature, because we are so used to protecting ourselves from everyone that we feel is attacking our behavior. This program is not about a certificate to justify to others that you completed a program. It's about getting your life back! It's also, in my mind, a lifelong process to work on yourself mentally and spiritually, and that is OK by me, to be calm and have the tools learned in treatment to cope with why I am so anxious and depressed so I can manage the obsession to self-medicate with alcohol or drugs (whatever your flavor) to lower the uncomfortably of my anxiety. I found the right place this time (don't believe it to be a quintessence) and it is saving my life day by day if I put in the work and do as I am told without hesitation! (this is key if you want to free yourself) I owe my life to the Owner/Ph.D. LP CCDPD of Professional Counseling Center the Director's, Psychologists, Therapists, Doctors, LADC's Nurses, Interns and drivers-as well as to myself and the effort I put into getting better in mind/body, health and spirituality. It’s been quite the journey and I cannot wait to find out what God has in-store for me next :-) Please do not get hung up on the God word. This is what I choose as my higher power and you will soon figure out what it is outside of you that you can put your faith in. My anxiety and depression are still a large part of my life. I am, in what I imagine, a lifelong process of learning how to except that I might deal with it for the rest of my life, without the desire or need to self-medicate with drugs and or alcohol. Continued.... Next review/post.
